Chancellor Mansfield graduated from Crockett County High School in 1990 and attended Mississippi State University for two years, majoring in Agribusiness. He transferred to UT Martin in the Fall of 1993, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Agriculture in 1994. After graduating from college, Chancellor Mansfield received the Herbert Herff Memorial Scholarship - a full three-year scholarship – to attend law school at the University of Memphis. He graduated from law school with honors in 1997 and worked at the Rainey, Kizer, Reviere & Bell, P.L.C. in Jackson, Tennessee, where he was partner for eighteen years, until being sworn in as Chancellor on September 1, 2022.
